BACK TO WORK

Well, I made it through Christmas...and now it is time to end this vacation and get back to work.
I wish I could say that Christmas was a success, but as usual I waited until the last minute for some things and didn't save enough money for the rest. I had all the kids plus Nana & Papa over for Christmas dinner and it was nice to have them all here at the same time. We kept the dinner simple and for anyone who knows Nana then you know that is a task in itself! Baby Ashley handled the loud Genchi voices with ease and slept through most of it. Sara and Luke entertained everyone and Uncle Mikey couldn't wait for Luke to open the remote controlled Police car that he got him so he could play with it too.
Sam set up my Wii and helped me with my Nextbook and now I feel much better about my new electronics. I played bowling today on the Wii, and boy did it wear me out, and I won at Wheel of Fortune:)
Time for bed now...My upstairs neighbors just got home so I hope I can fall to sleep now.
Merry Christmas to all, and let's look forward to a GREAT NEW YEAR!

Pic's aren't as hard as I thought...I just need more!

VACATION IS HERE!!!

Finally...after a full year of waiting, I get to start my planned week vacation. I have tried for 5 years to get Christmas week off, and I finally got approved!
My main plan is to get my Apartment organized before the end of the year so I can start 2011 fresh and clean...My Son, Sam and his lovey wife, Melinda, came by on Tuesday while I was at work and did a de-clutter job and got me off to a great start. They left me with lots of paper to go thru and put things on shelves that I couldn't get put up since I moved in 3 yrs ago. Next week we are moving some funiture around to get my Master bedroom set up for the Working from Home program, and hoping to get rid of this large dining room table. Dad bought it in the 70's and they gave it to me over a year ago. I asked if they wanted it back, but they are also looking for something smaller. I hope to get it over to Deseret Industries so someone will buy it and put it to good use. We had some great family dinners at the table, but since I plan to stay in the apartment for another year, I think a couple portable tables will work better. Mike and Cat gave me their round glass table and 4 chairs and that will do me fine for now.

Well, I'm not sure if blogs are suppose to be shorter than this, but I have to get to working on my apartment now...I will try to add a picture today for those of you that could not see my 35yr old profile picture!
Love you all, Lorraine

A Blogging I go!

Hi Family and Friends,
I am home for the morning (with health issues) and thought I would start a blog... since I am stuck in my chair and the laptop is in front of me.

As Christmas is approching and 2010 is coming to an end, I reflect back to New Year's Eve 2009 and all the plans I had for 2010. Some of my goals were achieved while others were a complete failure. So, I will look to 2011 for losing weight, paying down my Credit Cards and getting into a house and think of all the good things that happened in 2010...
I was blessed this year with my 2 younger son's getting married, and a new Grand daughter! Lucky for me I was offered a lower rent for the year, which is planned to only go up by $40 this next year. I was hoping to be into a house in the spring of 2011, but finances are going to force me to renew my lease here for a year...which will be easier than renting a house for a year and then moving again.
My job is going good and I was finally picked for the Work from Home program and I will be starting that the 1st of the year...this will help me to get my health issues taken care of, since it is easier to work at home after a surgery.
Well, keep up with my blog as I learn to add more to it, like pictures and videos...And have a great Weekend!
