I had a little heart episode Thursday night and it finally forced me to find a cardiologist and get an appointment set. I first called Humana to try and get a recommendation, but they could not recommend one Doctor over another. I just wanted to find a doctor that would not set me up for 3-$300 consultations before they actually test & fix me...but I guess I will just have to follow Dr. Oz's suggestion and take in a list of what I need to ask and tell him.
I called an office at 27th ave and the 101, where my "MD" is located, and asked to be set up with a doctor that was from the USA. I want to be able to understand what he is saying and for him to understand me. She scheduled me for the soonest she could get me into an MD which was June 10th, but when I looked him up on the Humana website I found he was from India...I called back after looking at the list of doctors in that same office and chose an American doctor who is a DO and I'm now scheduled for June 6th. It's a work day so I will have to take some PTO (paid time off). Now I have to hunt down all the paperwork from my hospital visits in 2009 when I was told by DV John C Lincoln that I had previously had a heart attack and I needed to see a Cardiologist.
Okay...time to get ready for lunch with my folks. They have been cutting down on going to Denny's so I wonder where they will want to go today?
